Irradiation

Shrink films can be specially irradiated either during or after manufacture. This cross linking creates very strong material. This strength is manifested both in the film and also its seal strength. However, cross linking does act against easy sealing. Sealing time is generally increased.

Our Clysar range of polyolefin shrink films includes a number of specifications that are irradiated to offer exceptional strength combined with matching shrink down.

The principal materials that are cross linked are Clysar HP Gold and Clysar LE Gold.
